The sacrament is conferred on eligible candidates in grade 7 for the 2022-2023 academic year. If you deferred in 2021 or 2022 due to the pandemic, you may receive the sacrament in 2023 by following the same steps outlined below.
THERE ARE FOUR STEPS REQUIRED FOR YOUR REGISTRATION TO BE VALID:
1. Attend the parent and candidate information session on October 12th at 7:00 pm in the church (see below for more info).
2. Complete the digital registration form (see below).
3. Attach proof of baptism to your digital registration (a photo or scan of the Baptismal certificate is fine. If your child was baptized at our parish, you must still attach a copy of the certificate). Please note that the form will not submit without this attachment. Please make sure to have the photo of your baptismal certificate ready before beginning the registration process.
4. Choose a sponsor and submit the digital sponsor registration before January 15, 2023.
ONLY WHEN ALL FOUR OF THESE STEPS ARE COMPLETED WILL YOUR CHILD BE ENROLLED FOR THE SACRAMENT.
If you are in public school or being home schooled, and you wish to prepare your child for the sacrament through the parish, please click here for our parish-based Confirmation program. NOTE: This is only for candidates NOT enrolled in a Catholic school, or who are in a grade other than 7 and need to prepare for the sacrament through the parish.
PARISH CONFIRMATION PROGRAM
Parent & Caregiver Information Meeting:
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2022
7:00 - 8:00 PM
All candidates are expected to attend our initial information session together with at least one parent or caregiver. At this session, we'll communicate dates/times for Confirmation, as well as the parish's expectations for preparation.
This year, all meetings and preparations will take place in person only.
If you are unable to attend, please see if your child can attend with a friend and their friend's family, or ask another family member (ex., grandparent) to attend with your child.
Our sacramental coordinator, Debbie Frey will be available after the meeting to discuss any special concerns or considerations your family may need.
